Both sides of the island
CargoFax covers both countries on the island of Hispaniola: Haiti and the Dominican Republic. CargoFax is the exclusive commercial provider of Haiti customs import data, with records from November 2020, updated weekly. CargoFax Dominican Republic records cover imports and exports from January 2024, with declared US dollar values, updated monthly. In Atlas, you can follow the same suppliers, carriers, products, and routes in both markets.

Datasets
Haiti and the Dominican Republic share the island of Hispaniola, and much of their trade is connected. The Dominican Republic is one of the origin countries in Haiti's import records, and Haiti is one of the destinations in Dominican export records. Many of the same suppliers, carriers, and distributors serve both markets.
Seen separately, each dataset tells half the story. Seen together in Atlas, the two datasets show how a product moves across the island: what the Dominican Republic ships to Haiti, what Haiti receives from the Dominican Republic, and which other origins compete for the same buyers on both sides of the border.
The two customs authorities publish different fields, and CargoFax keeps each dataset as it is published. Haiti records follow each import shipment, with the bill of lading, the vessel, the containers, and the gross weight, while Dominican records are declaration line items with declared value and weight.

Atlas
Three searches that use both datasets:
Haiti imports from the Dominican Republic by HS chapter, week by week, in tonnes.
Dominican Republic exports of cement (HS 2523) to Haiti by month, with declared value, next to Haiti's cement imports from all origins by weight.
Rice (HS 1006) imports into both countries, compared by origin country, over the last 12 months.
Every Atlas module covers both markets. Explorer searches and maps the records, Vault keeps the companies and routes you follow on both sides of the border and emails you when new matching records arrive, and Atlas AI answers plain-English questions such as "How much rice did Haiti import from the Dominican Republic last quarter?"
In Atlas, Explorer searches Haiti and Dominican Republic records side by side, Vault keeps the companies, products, and routes you follow on both sides of the island, and Vault emails you when the weekly Haiti update or the monthly Dominican Republic release adds matching records.
For teams that load data into their own systems, Files delivers the Dominican Republic historical archive and monthly increments by FTP or API in CSV, Excel, JSON, or Parquet. Haiti bulk files are available on request.
CargoFax keeps every field the customs authority publishes, in the form it is published, and adds what makes the records searchable across markets. Where a record lacks a reliable HS code, a model assigns one at the most precise level the description supports, and the assigned code is flagged so you can include or exclude it. Records load into Atlas on the market's release schedule, and the latest period may be revised as late records arrive. Free monthly reports and Atlas use the same records, so a figure in a report can be traced back to the records behind it.
Search every Hispaniola record by HS code, company, origin, and date, save the query, and keep the companies you follow in Vault.

FAQ
CargoFax covers both markets at the shipment level in one platform: Haiti customs import records, exclusive to CargoFax since 2020, and Dominican Republic customs declarations for imports and exports from January 2024.
Haiti does not publish shipment-level customs records in an open, searchable format, and the Dominican Republic publishes trade statistics mainly in aggregate. CargoFax makes both searchable record by record in Atlas Explorer.
Haiti records are updated weekly. Dominican Republic records are updated monthly.
Haiti records start in November 2020. Dominican Republic records start in January 2024.
Records in both markets carry Harmonized System (HS) codes, so the same product can be searched on both sides of the island with one code, for example HS 1006 for rice or HS 2523 for cement.
Dominican Republic records include declared values in US dollars and weight. Haiti records measure gross weight, with the bill of lading, vessel, containers, ports, importer, and shipper of each import shipment.
Yes. Dominican export records name the destination country, and Haiti import records name the origin country, so the trade can be read from both sides.
