Solutions: importers and exporters

Trade data for importers and exporters

CargoFax gives importers and exporters shipment-level customs records across the Americas, so they can see who buys, who supplies, and what competitors ship. Importers search an HS code or product in Atlas to find alternative suppliers and compare origins. Exporters rank the companies already importing their product by shipments, weight, or declared value. CargoFax US bill of lading records are updated daily with about a one-day lag and name the consignee, the foreign shipper, and the containers on every shipment.

FAQ

Importers and exporters: frequently asked questions

How can an importer find new suppliers with customs data?

Search the product's HS code in CargoFax Atlas Explorer and filter US bills of lading by origin. Each US record names the foreign shipper, so an importer sees who ships the product to the United States, how often, and in what volumes.

How can an exporter find buyers abroad?

Search your HS codes in CargoFax Atlas Explorer in the markets you sell to and rank the importers by shipments, weight, or declared value. Every CargoFax market names the importer, and Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and the Dominican Republic add the tax ID.

Can I see what my competitors import?

Yes. Find a competitor's records in Atlas Explorer and save the company to Vault, where new records are added as each market updates. Vault emails you when the competitor ships again.

Which CargoFax markets include declared values?

Declared values are on customs records from the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru.
