Claudio Report
The Claudio Report: the trade story behind the numbers
The Claudio Report is a monthly trade analysis written by Claudio, the CargoFax AI trade analyst. It has one desk for each of nine datasets, from US Census statistics to Haiti import records. Claudio works from CargoFax customs records and official trade statistics. Each report tells the story behind the month's totals. Claudio also investigates unusual trends and brings to light the trade nobody is talking about yet.
CargoFax can also offer customized Claudio reports, tailored to your business. These are recurring AI-generated reports on your industry, competitors, commodities, and trade trends. Claudio is more than a tool for answering questions.

Beyond the table
What does the Claudio Report do that a table cannot?
A monthly table tells you that imports of a product rose. Claudio asks why, and whether it matters.
Tells the story
Claudio starts from the change in the records that matters most this month and explains it in plain language, with every number next to its comparison.
Investigates unusual trends
A sudden new supplier country, a port that doubled, a product that disappeared: Claudio checks the records, then the news, agency reports, and mirror data from the partner country.
Finds the trade nobody covers
Customs records show trade as it happens, often before it reaches the headlines. Claudio looks for the flows that matter and that few people have written about.
Method
How does Claudio work?
- Numbers first. Every figure comes from CargoFax records or official statistics and is stated with its comparison period.
- Odd figures are researched, not repeated. Unusual values are checked against agency releases and local press before they are written up.
- Sources linked and checked. Each outside source is linked to the exact article and verified before publication.
- Charts where they help. Each report is illustrated with charts placed next to the sentence they support.
- No company names from our records. Companies are named only from public reporting.

Custom reports
Want Claudio to do the research for you?
Want Claudio to track your industry, analyze competitors, monitor specific commodities, or identify emerging trade trends? Tell us what matters to your business, and we can explore creating customized reports for you.
Reports may be available daily or monthly, depending on your needs, the data available for your markets, and what CargoFax can support. US import records update daily; most other markets update monthly. Every request is reviewed and confirmed by the CargoFax team, so not every report or frequency can be offered.
- Your industry: the markets and products that shape your business.
- Competitors and market participants: the businesses you want followed. In Claudio reports, companies are named only from public reporting, never from CargoFax customs records.
- Specific commodities: the products and HS codes you buy, sell, or watch.
- Emerging trade trends: the questions and developments you want answered as the data comes in.
