From January to July, exports totaled US$8.99 billion, up 13.6% from the same period of 2025, and imports US$20.1 billion, up 7.6%.
What the data shows: Gold, the largest export, can swing sharply from month to month, and July's decline was offset in part by cocoa, tobacco and medical instruments. The data does not show why gold shipments fell or why Switzerland's share grew.
